Which Were My 3 Favorite Moments from Princess Connect! Re: Dive Season 2 Episode 10?
Yasuko’s unconventional attack, Yuni’s brilliant observation, and Karyl’s crushing realization. What were my 3 favorite moments from Princess Connect! Re: Dive Season 2 Episode 10, “Landosol at Sundown?”

3 Favorite Moments from Princess Connect! Re: Dive Season 2 Episode 10
Third Favorite Moment: Yasuko’s Improvised Attack
I would ask you to remind me not to piss her off, but I think I’ll remember on my own! Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
In the event of a shadow invasion, a well-armed and brave supporting cast really comes in handy, doesn’t it? We saw the truth of that in this episode. Yuuki and Kokkoro were hurrying to help Pecorine when Yuuki suddenly collapsed.
His timing was terrible. Shadows closed in on all sides. Kokkoro blew one away with her magic, then another grappled with her. She saw a third shadow close in on the helpless Yuuki. And there was nothing she could do.
Fortunately, Yasuko chose that moment to arrive with her cast-iron skillet. She smacked the shadow into next week.
It’s good to have friends. Especially friends capable of turning household items into defensive weapons!
Second Favorite Moment: Yuni’s Recognizes the Tiara
“Does this tiara look familiar to you?” It sure does! Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
Pecorine’s longing for what she’s lost has done nothing but get stronger all season. She had decided to tell Karyl and Yuuki the secret of her identity, which will bring her a little bit of peace. But that won’t change the fact that the kingdom, the people she loves and wants to serve, have forgotten her.
In this episode, Yuni had sent two adventurers on a quest to retrieve some important documents from the castle. Remember Yuni from episode 3? Remember how she was searching for the hidden truth of the world?
She found it.
Thinking that it was odd that a beast person sat on the throne of a human city, Yuni discovered a reference to the royal genealogy. That reference included a picture. Of a tiara. And we all know who wears a tiara in this series.
Yuni knew, too. “Does this look familiar to you?” she asked (09:03).
Truth be told, I got a little emotional thinking how much Yuni’s realization would mean to Pecorine.
Favorite Moment: Despair Almost Claims Karyl
Part of me feels like berating her for being such an idiot. Another part of me just wants to free her and give her some food. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
Karyl’s a follower. She tends to blend in with whatever group’s she with. She’s with Kaiser Insight? She becomes Karyl the Angel of Death. She’s with the Gourmet Club? She becomes Karyl the Tsundere Cat.
Like most followers, she’s fine as long as she doesn’t get mixed up with the wrong crowd. Unfortunately for Karyl, Kaiser Insight is most decidedly “the wrong crowd.”
In her heart, Karyl knew that. She knew that betraying her friends was wrong. Her loyalty to Kaiser Insight might have blinded her, but even the most ardent follower has limits. When her Kaiser Insight ordered Karyl to massacre all the villagers, Karyl knew she’d had enough.
Just in case there was any lack of clarity about what “wrong crowd” meant, Kaiser Insight took control of Karyl and reinvigorated her attack on the villagers. It got so bad that Karyl begged for someone to destroy her.
That was too much for Pecorine. Though she was battered, she used her sword to interrupt the flow of magic through Kaiser’s slender threads. Then Pecorine regarded her friend for a moment.
“Pecorine… Help me… Help me, Pecorine!” Karyl said (20:56).
That’s probably the smartest thing Karyl ever did.

How could I not remember Yuni. Favourite character introduced this season.
I’ve always been curious about Karyl’s relationship to Kaiser Insight. I seems to go beyond follower; she’s a bit too forward, and the need for approval has always felt more like something you want from… family? And I’m still not sure about the strange case of Kaiser Insight doubling. Carryover from the previous cycle? Not sure what’s going on.
Yuni’s right up there for me. I love her quiet, unassuming bravery!
Interesting idea about Karyl’s motivations. I was thinking she saw herself as a Princess Knight, so wanted to show her loyalty. I wonder if you’re right and it does seem like more?
That would be an interesting twist!
So let’s see… I have a bootleg copy of Season 1 released by an unnamed Chinese publisher to review, and Crow is reviewing Season 2… I guess I’ll be all caught up in a year or two.
