Mushoku Tensei Season Premiere Answers What Happened to Sylphie
If you asked me to name one aspect of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 2 (and the first season) that convinced me to hold the series in such high esteem, I’d have to say it’s the characters. They’re multi-layered and imperfect. They’re portrayed with such authenticity that I find it easy to root for many of them! Take Sylphiette, for example. She figures prominently in episode 0, which just aired, and I couldn’t be happier. I found this review by Roderick J “Jay” Friz on the site D&A Anime Blog, and I think he did a fantastic job of capturing the spirit of the episode and its characters. See what you think!

Is Shoujo Anime Making A Comeback?
There are positive aspects to viewing anime fans through a demographic lens. It makes marketing easier for creators. It sets expectations for consumers. But sometimes I wonder if we underestimate the downsides. For example, if I mention shōjo anime, what do you think of? It’s targeted at a female audience from adolescence to young adult women. I’m decidedly not in that demographic, but to me, story is story and character is character. I’ve enjoyed shoujo series, and I’m sure I will again.
But the topic is broader than just my perspective. There are kinds of stories that seem to come out of that genre, and it would be a shame if they were to disappear. Is there a danger of that happening? Well, In Asian Spaces, on the site In Asian Spaces, has some thoughts about that — and she uses some great examples to prove her points. See if you agree!

KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! – Whole-Series Review and Reflection
Did you watch KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!? What did you think? I have to give the writers points for courage — it takes guts to do a prequel for such an iconic series. The series hit a sweet spot for me: it retained the original’s sense of humor and (also like the original) let the characters shine in ways only they could. Also, it helped that I really like poor Yunyun. But was the series overall enjoyable? Or am I just making things up? On the site The Infinite Zenith, infinitezenith just published his thoughts on the topic. I found myself nodding a lot while I read it! See if you have a similar reaction.

First Impressions – Undead Girl Murder Farce
What did you think of Undead Murder Farce? I hope you liked it, or you probably won’t enjoy what I’m about to say! Because within just a few minutes, I decided I like it enough to review it this season. And by the end? Well, let’s just say I was positive I wanted to review it! It seemed so, well… Tell you what. Let me direct your attention someone who’s more articulate than “wel…” Guardian Enzo on the site Lost in Anime just shared his thoughts. What did he think of the voice acting? The scene composition? He covers all that and more. See what you think!

Seasonal First Impressions: Searching for the Real Monsters in UNDEAD MURDER FARCE
You just read one impression of Undead Murder Farce. Ready to read another? Because this one’s cool, too. Jane the Anime Witch just posted this review on her site The Magic Planet, and she takes a slightly different approach to the show. What did she think? Well, I’ll give you a hint. She included the phrase “delightful murder maid.” If that doesn’t scream “Quality Review,” I don’t know what does! And I’ve read a review or two. See if you agree!
