Every week, I visit over 280 anime sites looking for posts that celebrate amazing moments in anime or otherwise blow me away with their wit and charm. These are my five favorite posts for the week. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

But Why Tho?
REVIEW: ‘Metallic Rouge’ Episode 6
I know it’s not getting great press, but I still like Metallic Rouge. I try to say why in my reviews, but you know what? I found another source that explains it better than I do: Allyson Johnson’s recent post on But Why Tho? I thought that Allyson Johnson did a great job of capturing the dynamic between Naomi and Rouge, the main characters, as well as what made episode 6 so enjoyable. See if Allyson Johnson captured what you liked!

Attack on Titan Retrospective – A Look Back Over a Decade in the Making
Attack on Titan had a major impact on anime fandom in particular and popular culture in general. Shortly after the series ended, I read some thoughtful posts, and I watched some contemplative videos. But I had to wonder: do we have enough perspective yet? If this post by Jon Spencer on the site Jon Spencer Reviews is any indication, then time to reflect is a seriously good thing. This is a deep, authentic post that kept me hooked start to finish. See if it affects you that way, too!

Ganbalance de Desk Job: “Power of Hope: Precure Full Bloom”
Two weeks ago, I joked about how several anime bloggers seemed to conspire to convince me to watch the Precure franchise. I’ve since started watching Soaring Sky! Pretty Cure. Does that make me a conspiracy theorist? I hope not, because I just came across this post by sdshamshel on the site Ogiue Maniax about Power of Hope ~Precure Full Bloom~. Now I want to watch another Precure series! Just how many series are in this franchise? If I start watching it, will I ever reach the end? Or is that the wrong question? While I ponder that, please check out this post — it made me appreciate it this franchise even more!

My Dress-Up Darling
How many more posts do we need about My Dress-Up Darling? That’s the wrong question! The real question is how many more interesting and delightful posts are anime bloggers going to write about it? Because as long as you all keep writing them, I’ll keep reading them. This post by OTAKUBRIT on the site Otaku Brit ^.^ is a great example. It reminded me of how much I enjoyed the series when I first watched it. And yes, it made me want to rewatch the series. Again. See if the post reminds you of how much you liked the series!
Phoenix Talks Pop Culture Japan
Super SHY – The Anime Review
Shy is one of those series that flew beneath my radar. Or maybe it’s more accurate to say that I had to shut off my radar because of a target environment that was overly rich? In any event, I didn’t get to watch the series. This post by RisefromAshes from the site Phoenix Talks Pop Culture Japan talked about the series in a way that made me regret not watching it — especially details about Pilse Dunant. So, this is now another series I’m looking forward to watching. Sometime. I hope! See if you have a similar reaction!

Oop, I did it again. Thank you once again for being so kind as to feature me!
You’re welcome! And thanks for writing the post!
TCrow, Arnold said in Episode 5 that he brought Rishe here to use her. Coupled with him saying in Episode 3 to Oliver he didn’t bring Rishe here to be his wife to improve the nation or benefit the imperial family shows that he has some ulterior motive for Rishe’s presence in Galkhein aside from being in love with her. I wonder just what he has planned for her.
I wonder, too.
I think you’re right about Arnold’s plan. But he’s also undeniably in love with Rishe. That’s some pretty cool internal conflict going on!
And that scene when Rishe explained to little bro how she escape — she had _me_ backing away from the screen! She’s fierce, and I love it!
Wonderful’s the 21st series, so 984 episodes to date, plus 39 theatrical movies. If you watch one a week, you’ll be in Xeno’s Precure Paradox, where you’ll get further from finishing as you watch more episodes- when they add extra series like Otona Precure!
Hirogaru Sky’s a good place to start- it does so many things well. Pay attention to Mashiro. In some Precure series the pink Cure is the glue that holds the team together, but not much more. Mashiro starts out mild-mannered and nice. You may get to a point later in the series where you think “Wait, what? How did she get so…”, think back to her experiences, and it’ll make sense.
So, you’re saying, don’t take on the task of watching al the Precure series and One Piece at the same time? Got it!
Though I have to say: everyone makes such a big deal about One Piece’s 1000+ episodes (and rightly so). But Precure’s right there with it!
I’ll keep an eye on Mashiro!
Whenever you do get to Episode 19 of The Apothecary Diaries, TCrow, be prepared to be really wowed by how it ties everything together.
That’s Yet Another Series I’m Looking Forward to Watching! Thanks for the tip.
