Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – 28

I can’t say a whole about FlareKnight’s review of Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Conflict on Anime Evo. The reason’s simple: the episode contained such a monumental event, and FlareKnight talked about it. I’d spoil it if I said much at all! And I don’t want to do that. So, I’ll just say this: because of the infectious way that FlareKnight described it, I could just sit there and think, “Holy hell, I have got to make time to watch this!” If you liked the episode, I’m positive you’ll like reading this review! If not, be careful — you’re going to want to start watching right away!

Dandadan Episode 3 Review – Granny vs Granny

I am keeping up with Dandadan. Which is to say, I’m keeping up with the episodes as they release. Whether I can keep up with the show’s pace is another matter! The answer is yes, I can keep up with it — but it’s a separate matter nonetheless! That said, this episode blew the lid off my expectations. Like, explosively. This episode has all the goodness that I’ve come to expect from Dandadan, but it raised the ante to astronomical levels. How? It introduced Seiko Ayase, who is Momo’s grandma. Of grandma, I’ll just say this: I wholeheartedly endorse ecargmura’s reaction in the review on ARUM JOURNAL. And the screen shots of grandma? Chef’s kiss!

Dan Da Dan is the Best Anime of 2024. CHANGE MY MIND!

Before episode, I considered Dan Da Dan as a contender for my favorite anime of 2024. But after meeting Seiko Ayase, I now accept, endorse, and embrace the argument that Roderick J “Jay” Friz puts forth in this post on D&A Anime Blog. What arguments does he make? How convincing are they? I won’t risk butchering his sublime logic. Instead, head on over the original and see for yourself!

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End – An Introspection on the Immaterial Impact of Impermanence on Merit Through Reflections About Life-Changing Ephemeral Encounters and Appreciation of the Basics In Ever-Changing Disciplines

Was Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End everything it was cracked up to be? Let me frame my answer this way: I consider my writer’s journey to have started in the fifth or six grade, when I wrote my first novel. Everything I’ve learned in the intervening 50+ years went into me giving Frieren a perfect ten on MAL. That isn’t convincing enough? Then, please let me direct your attention to infinitezenith’s post on The Infinite Zenith. The title tells you exactly what to expect, and you know what? There are times, in the matter of my craft, that I just want to geek out on a story and what it delivers. This post was delightfully detailed that way!

Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V episode 3

I’m having a blast watching Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V this season. The characters are just so much fun to watch, and the world’s lore is deep and interesting. So, when I saw that Theron reviewed the latest episode on USA Anime, I had to check it out. Then I read the post’s first sentence: “One point that often gets underemphasized in discussions and analyses about this franchise is how much the structure and nature of familias can vary.” I know truth when I see it! What followed was a riveting tour of the various familias structures. And the post went well beyond that; that was just the start! I now appreciate the show even more than I did before. That’s saying a lot!
