Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – 31
There’s a part of me that’s really happy that Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War – The Conflict is airing. Bleach is the one of the series I used to introduce my daughter to anime. I still remember the two of us wondering what Mayuri Kurotsuchi would do when he really cut loose. When it happened, we were not disappointed! Nor am I disappointed in FlareKnight’s latest review in Anime Evo! The way he describes it reminds me of the old day days (before episode 96 or so, when I had to drop it). Not only only that, but FlareKnight provides his typical deep insights. I always come away with a better appreciation of an episode after reading one of FlareKnight’s reviews!

Dandadan Episode 6 Review – Pink Haired Narcissist
Dandadan has reached that rare state in anime where it’s been so enjoyable — packed such an emotional punch — that I’m nervous going into each episode. Why? Because I’m afraid it’s going to jump the freaking shark! There are worse problems to have, but the apprehension is still real! So, how was the latest episode? Please allow me to direct you to ecargmura’s post on ARUM JOURNAL to answer that question. I’ll give you a hint: the shark remains undisturbed. No jumping involved! And reading ecargmura’s post is a lot more enjoyable than watching Fonzie waterskiing!

Oh, So Trope-ical: The Idol Girl
Time to test your anime deductive skills! Why are idols so popular in anime? Think you know the answer? I thought I did! Then I saw The Overage Otaku’s post on Confessions of an Overage Otaku. After reading the post, I realized that while I did know an answer, I did not know the answer. Which is to say, it’s not a singular answer at all! So yet once again, my ancient self learned yet something else from yet another of The Overage Otaku’s posts! Huh. I have become the antithesis to “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks!” Which is a good thing. I think.

Suicide Squad Isekai: The Isekai I Didn’t Know I Needed
It must be Crow family night on this week’s 5 Favorite Anime Blog Posts! This is the second time I get to refer to my daughter. She was a big fan of Suicide Squad (back when it was a DC thing). Because of that, when I saw Hanime on Anime’s recent post on Hanime on Anime about Isekai Suicide Squad, I had to check it out. I’m glad I did! If my daughter had time, based on Hanime on Anime’s description of the series, I think she’d really like it. I think you might, too — so go see for yourself!

Merlin’s Musings
He Parries Everything, Including His Wits
We all know how hard it is to keep up with new series. Throw in an enormous backlog, and it seems like the entertainment potential is as infinite as our time is finite. It can be intimidating! So it was with some trepidation that I saw this post by Merlin on Merlin’s Musings. I say “trepidation” because Merlin has this way of describing series in a way that makes me want to go watch them right away. This time, Merlin’s review as about I Parry Everything, which was a series I had decided not to watch based just on the title. And once again, Merlin has proven that I can’t judge a series by its title! It was on this day that my backlog grew once again — and that’s honestly a good problem to have!

TCrow, Episode 57 dropped what I believe was a huge hint to the inner workings of the story despite being a slower set-up episode.
TCrow, here’s my post on Tappei’s other anime works perhaps hinting at my grand plan theory in Re:Zero.
https://thoroughwatch.org/?p=50
That’s an interesting theory. Do you think we’ve met the equivalent to Joker?
If there’s an equivalent to The Joker, it’d be perhaps Echidna and Pandora together both playing that role. We already know Echidna played that role for at least 400 years, and I believe Echidna and Pandora are on the same side although that’s not immediately obvious.
That makes sense.
Here’s my Re:Zero Season 3 Episode 6 post. I made a lot of connections to previous episodes:

Very glad to ready your interpretation of that after credits scene. I was a little apprehensive at first, but I think you’re analysis is correct.
I could be wrong. Al might have somehow snuck in to the control tower and opened the watergate briefly. I don’t know how he’d be able to pull it off though if he is not a Witch cultist.
Oh, I thought of a way Al could have pulled it off without being a Witch cultist. If Al was summoned to be the Hero of the story in the fantasy world, the previous iteration of the world before Subaru as I speculated, he may have also likely been summoned by Satella and have the Witch scent on him, and if that’s the case, it’d be easier for him to pose as a cultist.
And alternatively, maybe Al defeated Capella or Capella’s group himself and made her retreat. We still don’t know how strong Al is. DoubleSama may have been right this time.
Thanks for the feature!
You’re welcome! Thanks for the awesome take on Dandadan!
In that case, I shall do my best to keep adding to your good problem, haha! 😉
I look forward to it! 🙂
