Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga Episode 10 – “How to Save a Life”
I’ve been enjoying 7mononoke’s coverage of Blue Exorcist: Beyond the Snow Saga on Anime Rants. Not only does 7mononoke bring a wealth of anime experience to each and every review; she brings a grounded perspective that generates tons of interesting insights. In this review, 7mononoke goes above and beyond, proving that anime can rise to the level of literature and art by connecting to us on a deep level. Very deep, as it turns out. An anime series that deals honestly with such a difficult topic is almost as important as the courage to discuss it publicly.

Ten Years Later: Wizard Barristers
I watched Wizard Barristers, like, a hundred years ago. Which is impossible, since it came out in 2014. So it only feels like a hundred years. But a decade is nothing to sneeze at, and Chris Beveridge, on the site The Fandom Post, just proved that by posting a review of Wizard Barristers through the perspective gained by living through the past ten years. What does Chris Beveridge have to say? I’ll give you a hint: he noticed my favorite part about the series. Go see if you can guess what that was!

My Hero Academia – The Final Arc (Episodes 144 – 159) Review
It’s hard to believe we’ve reached the seventh and final season of My Hero Academia. I feel bad for not continuing to review the new seasons, but, well, decisions were made. Fortunately, until I can get time to actually watch the new season, I can rely on reviews like this one by David Hogan on the site Hoganreviews.co.uk to keep me caught up. How’s the last season going? Has Izuku Midoriya/Deku had to chow down on any more hair (which is still a weird way to pass down powers, if you ask me)? What else of note is going on? There’s one way to find out!

A Clash of LOVE! Dandadan Episode 10 [Video Review]
Dandadan is turning out to be more that just merely good. It’s unexpected; it’s irreverent. It’s a shonen where the main male character has literally lost his testicles. Okay, you’re right, by this time in the plot, he’s gotten one of them back. But still, can we reflect for a moment on how unexpected such a thing is? Given that tone, I can’t think of a reviewer more on Dandadan’s wavelength than Sinh on the site Otaku Sinh. Need proof? Then I offer this review of episode 10. Otaku Sinh nailed the key moments and somehow made some of them even more amusing.

Now and Then, Here and There — Anime Review
There’s one anime series that I started and noped out immediately. Not because of quality issues, but because the show was too real, too visceral, for my imagination to work with. That show was Now and Then, Here and There. It’s not that it was too gory, because it wasn’t. It’s not that it was gross or gratuitous, because it wasn’t those things, either. What was it then? Well, I just read Casper’s post on the site Reasons to Anime, and I can honestly say that this post says why I couldn’t — why I still can’t — watch it. This is one case where not making me want to watch a series is the sign of a solid review. And this review is certain solid! Please do check it out.

TCrow, here’s my post about how Echidna might actually like or even love Emilia and Satella despite seemingly hating them on the surface:
https://thoroughwatch.org/?p=64
That’s an interesting theory. I wonder how close we are to finding out how close your reasoning is to the main story?
My guess is that we won’t know until close to the end of the story as if my main theory about there being a grand plan is correct, the details won’t be clear until the penultimate or final arc.
Thanks for the mention~ I’m very glad to hear someone appreciated that post since I did share some personal stuff and I feel like it’s an extremely important topic.
You’re welcome! You were brave to treat the topic with such candor, and that takes another step toward framing that discussion in the right way. You’re right. It’s a very important topic, so thanks for writing about it!
