Guild no Uketsukejou Zangyou wa Iya – Episode 2 – Origins of Alina’s Big Hammer and A Perp Destroys Alina’s Home
There are several shows this season that I’m trying to make time for — even though I know that chances of me actually watching them approaches zero. I can’t say hope springs eternal, because I’m not at all hopeful that I can make time. So it must be habit. But even if I can’t watch shows like I May Be a Guild Receptionist, but I’ll Solo Any Boss to Clock Out on Time as they release, at least I can enjoy them vicariously through posts like this one from Chikorita157 on the site Chikorita157’s Anime Blog. After reading this post, I wish even more that I had time to watch! If only wishes were fishes, I’d open a Long John Silver’s!

Make Heroine Ga Oosugiru
When Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! aired, I had hope to watch it, too. And guess what? It didn’t happen. Not much suspense in that question, was there? Still, I’m looking for excuses to bump the show up on my backlog. Blue haired anime women like Anna Yanami have been a topic of interest since I met Junko Hattori. So, when I saw the title for Chua Tek Ming’s site Chua Tek Ming~Anime Power~ !LiVe FoR AnImE, aNiMe FoR LiFe!, I knew I had to take a look. And I’m glad I did! Not only do I now have more reasons to watch the show, I have more reasons to watch each individual episode! See if Chua Tek Ming mentions what you liked best about the episodes or series as a whole!

Merlin’s Musings
Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines
Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines! was a popular topic this week. It also received love from Merlin on the site Merlin’s Musings. Merlin took a slightly higher level approach to reviewing the series. He laid out a couple of things that didn’t sit right, and he shared the parts that resonated. I liked that perspective because Merlin didn’t just say “this part sucked.” He said that a given part didn’t work and described why. That gives me the information I need to figure out if I’d react the same way! Here’s to well-rounded and honest reviews!

Natsume’s Book of Friends – Season Seven End of Season Thoughts
I feel like I’m stuck in a rut here, but let’s harp on the “Crow doesn’t have enough time to watch as much anime as he’d like” train at least one more time. If you want a perfect example of a season I’d like to have more time to watch, you have to look no father than Natsume’s Book of Friends Season 7. I can’t think of a series that has received such glowing reviews from reviewers I trust. And yet, I haven’t watched a single episode. After reading RisefromAshes’s review on the site Phoenix Talks Pop Culture Japan, I can only shake my head at my own situation and feel gratitude that at least people like RisefromAshes can enjoy it! See if it sounds like a season you’d enjoy!

Black Lagoon – Roberta’s Blood Trail: That Time Rock went full Pepe Silvia
I did not know that guy in the meme was named Pepe Silvia. But thanks to Dewbond on the site Shallow Dives in Anime, I do now! Not only that, but I now know that somehow, I missed yet another series that I should have watched — Black Lagoon: Roberta’s Blood Trail. I really liked how Dewbond made the series come alive in this review. It sounds like Roberta is a character I’d like a lot. In fact, I feel like I should watch this show to make sure that the combat maids in my books don’t seem too much alike. I’d hate to be accidentally derivative. If that’s even a thing… In the meantime, let’s enjoy Dewbond’s review of the series!
