Amagami-san Chi no Enmusubi – 22
One of the things that pulled me into anime was its (relatively) creative ideas. I’ve been in and out of anime fandom since the early 1970s. My most recent return was back when the series Farscape and Stargate SG-1 got cancelled. I’ve always liked science fiction, and I was looking for something to scratch that itch. Anime was exactly what I was looking for at the time. It thought it was cool how closely Farscape resembled a harem anime with John Crichton as the lead.
This week, I came across this post by FlareKnight on the site Anime Evo. Its description of episode 22 of Tying the Knot with an Amagami Sister made the show sound so creative, its plot lines so interesting, that it strongly reminded me of why I so enjoyed the anime I watched early on. With the deluge of series we’re blessed with now, it’s easy to lose sight of how fortunate we are. I like posts like this that remind me.

Wait, Does Kissing Really Do That to People?
It’s been a long time since I’ve so thoroughly and consistently enjoyed a comedy as much as I’m enjoying The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You. Even if the show didn’t have my favorite character, Nano, I would still enjoy it. The reason’s simple. The reason is also at the heart of this review by Roderick J “Jay” Friz on the site D&A Anime Blog. Roderick J “Jay” Friz really seems to understand the show and its appeal. Want proof? Before reading the posts, check out the post’s image selections. They’re perfect for the show — and they’re a perfect introduction to the post itself!

My Hero Academia Season 7 Review
I’ve always admired this series for what it tried to do. I haven’t watched My Hero Academia Season 7 yet, so I don’t know how close the show has come to fulfilling its own vision. But based on this post by dreager1 on the site DReager1.com, it sounds like it’s still on track. Why do I say that? What about the post gives me such confidence? Well, you’ll need to read it for yourself — but I’ll just say that dreager1 understands the show, its characters, and its genre. In the post, all that came together to paint a point-in-time pictures of the series. Go see what I mean!

Please No Hate
Thoughts On: Trapezium
I typically don’t enjoy idol series — except The iDOLMSTER and Zombieland Saga. I also find it difficult to make time to watch movies. So when I saw this post by fumigami on the site Please No Hate, I didn’t know for sure if the review would apply to me. It was about an idol movie, so for me, that was already two strikes. Then I read the intro and had to laugh. Fumigami might have been describing my own tastes! So naturally, I read on, and I’m really glad I did. I particularly enjoyed how fumigami described the voice acting! Given the time constraints I’m under, I really appreciate reviews like this. They keep me from missing out!

Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End: Scratching the Itch
I’ll admit I was a little anxious when I saw that Dewbond, on the site Shallow Dives in Anime, reviewed the series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. I thoroughly enjoyed that series, and I know there are times my brain prevents me from seeing a show’s negative aspects to preserve my enjoyment. Dewbond is completely honest in his reviews, and I wasn’t sure I wanted to read anything negative about this series. But it’s a Dewbond review, so there was no way I was not going to read it!
In the first paragraphs, he spoke well of Wandering Witch: The Journey of Elaina. I freaking loved that series, which you could probably guess from my reviews, so that put me at some ease. And as I read the rest of the review, I realized I need not have worried. Yes, Dewbond pointed out the show’s less than stellar aspects, but he did so in the context of what it did right. What was his final verdict? Head over to the post to find out!

It was by far my favourite episode of the season.

I didn’t expect Maomao to acknowledge the supernatural given the creature of logic she is.
TCrow, I’ll have my write-up for Kusuriya no Hitorigoto Ep isode 34 up in the afternoon and my write-up for Re:Zero Episode 65 up in the evening.
