Important Note for This Week
It was one of those weeks. You know — those weeks, where more than the average number of things go wrong. I just don’t have the energy to write anything witty, insightful, or even vapid, so I’ll just present my list of five favorite posts for the week.
Thanks for these posts — it was great to have them to read at the end of a long, long week!

I also forgot to share this with you, TCrow, but Clevatess is the sleeper pick of the season. It’s a dark fantasy with a strong female lead named Alicia who has an attractive design. Many dark fantasy stories are poorly written, but this one has meat to it with good character writing, a solid plot, and nice world-building. It’s somewhat low budget, but the rest of the content is good enough to stand out.
I watched the first episode, and it did impress me. I actually liked its brutality, which seemed to fit the story it was trying to tell. I intend to finish it at some time! Too many irons in the fire prevent me right now.
Thanks for bringing it up!
Once again I am humbled and grateful to you for the inclusion in this illustrious list of so many great anime bloggers.
Glad to do it! And if it is in any way “illustrious,” it’s because of posts like yours!
TCrow, after having returned from vacation and finishing Takopii, I believe the ending was really lackluster in that it didn’t really make sense. I believed it was the clear anime of the season before that, but I’m not sure I still feel that way.
Interesting. Are you going to post a writeup on Thorough Watch with more details?
I’ve noticed that sometimes, series can present traumatic moments, but they don’t seem to know how to carry the narrative on from there.
I’d like to read your thoughts and reactions.
I wasn’t going to, but I guess once I finish catching up on writing about Kowloon Generic Romance and Kusuriya no Hitorigoto, I can write about why Takopii’s ending was seriously lackluster.
