This Monster Wants to Eat Me (WataTabe) Episodes 4 and 5
I’d seen mentions of Miko from This Monster Wants to Eat Me in random Bluesky or Twitter posts. I tried not to pay a lot of attention, because I might watch the show, and I didn’t want spoilers from social media. But then I came across this post by 7mononoke on the site Anime Rants. 7mononoke is great with characters, so I figured I’d check out what the fuss was about. Wow. I’m glad I did. Now I really want to watch the series! What’s that about spoilers, you asked? Spoilers don’t bother me when they’re part of an insightful review like this one! If you’re curious about the show at all, then this is the post for you!

Chainsaw Man โ The Movie: Reze Arc and the Tragedy of Desire
I have got to make time to watch Chainsaw Man the Movie: Reze Arc. Maybe I can watch it instead of rewatching Kpop Demon Hunters for the nth time? Hmmm. I’ll have to think about it. But until I do, I can rely on posts like this one Salman Al Farisi on the site Calxylian to let me know what I’m missing. I really enjoy Salman Al Farisi’s academic style. By “academic” I mean well-considered, rational, well-presented, and very entertaining! Now, I not only know that I really want to watch this movie. I can say exactly why! Go see if you have a similar experience.

How to Build a Series: Laid-Back Camp
The Overage Otaku’s post this week on Confessions of an Overage Otaku was kind of meta. It talked about how a simple show like Laid-Back Camp can generate multiple seasons. But it did so from within a frame story. So not only did we get an interesting take on the show’s construction. We got it from an entertaining source! It’s actually more cool than I made it sound — go see for yourself!

Letโs Watch UMAMUSUME: CINDERELLA GRAY โ Episode 18 โ โWILD JOKERโ
It’s been years since I saw the Uma Musume: Pretty Derby, and I’m still coming to grips with the realization that this series not only constitutes my favorite sports anime. It represents some of my favorite dramatic anime series! I mean, a series about horse girls — being this entertaining? Yet, here we are. Don’t take my word for it. Check out this post by yuri sorcerer & The Root of All Evil on the site The Magic Planet about the latest episode of the series’ latest incarnation, Uma Musume: Cinderella Gray Part 2. Does it sound like yuri sorcerer & The Root of All Evil describes some frivolous, throw-away episode? Not even close! Someday, I’ll get my head around this idea. While I work on that, see what you think of this review!

My Dress-Up Darling Season 2: Let People Enjoy Things
It’s possible I’ll stop talking about My Dress-Up Darling at some point. I wouldn’t hold your breath, but it’s possible. However, it’s more likely I’ll keep finding new things to like about it. There’re the obvious factors, like Marin herself or newer characters like Akira. There’re the themes like Wakana finding his place in the world. Then there are the insights coming from bloggers like Dewbond on the site Shallow Dives in Anime. In this post, Dewbond nailed one of the most captivating and satisfying aspect of the show. It’s something that elevates the series above its genre. What was Dewbond’s insight? There’s one way to find out!

TCrow, Re:Zero Season 4’s release date has been as being April 2026. I look forward to seeing the next arc.
I just saw the teaser, and it kind of freaked me out! Good to know the series can still shock me.
It’s great to see my essay featured here. Thanks for the mention. Your comment about wanting to watch the Reze Arc after reading my description was especially helpful. Great job putting all these posts together.
You’re welcome!
And thanks! I enjoy visiting all the anime sites I can find and sharing my favorites. There’s a lot of good stuff every week!
TCrow, well, I was right that people tricked themselves into thinking that Dios was a red herring. It seems he wasn’t even coerced either but is actually one of the highest-ranked Palmianism supporters as an inquisitor. So the concern for Diana he seemed to show last episode was ’cause if Diana died the power Palmia stole would go back to the God of Time, Chronoa, so that was the real reason he was concerned, not ’cause he actually cared about Diana.
