AngryJellyfishโs Top 12 Anime of 2025!
Let’s start the post off with a top twelve list! AngryJellyfish, on the site AngryJellyfish’s Blog, published a list of the twelve top anime from 2025. In such lists, I usually disagree with at least one or two of the entries. Sometimes, quite strongly! This time, though, my only “complaint” is that I’d put number eleven higher on the list! That’s a pretty good record. And even saying that, I can’t argue with the top three at all. Did your favorite anime place on this list?

Sousou no Frieren S2 โ 09
There’s a vibe to Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2. If it’s not something that resonates with you, that’s cool. It’s impossible for a work of fiction to appear to everyone. Heck, even KPop Demon Hunters has its detractors. In the case Frieren, the show has a pace that some see as slow or dull, but that I see as — well, you know what? Instead of me using my less than stellar emotional vocabulary to describe it, let me direct you to this review of the penultimate episode of the season by FlareKnight on the site Anime Evo. FlareKnight has a knack for describing stuff like this, and in this post, I think he outdid himself. I think it’s safe to say the show resonates with him! Go see what you think!

Frieren: Beyond Journeyโs End Episode 38 Review โ Bridge Towards The Golden Land
Speaking of Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End Season 2, the season wrapped up with episode 10. That’s not enough episodes, if you ask me! But it had to end, so the question is, did it end well? Or did it stumble on the dismount? ecargmura from the site Arum Journal reviewed the final episode of season 2 and answered that very question, among others. And just what was her conclusion? You know how to find out!

Rooster Fighter is the New One Punch Man
Sometimes, I’m not in the mood for something as deep as Frieren. Sometimes, I just want to laugh at intentionally ridiculous (as opposed to things that seem unintentionally ridiculous, like a lot of politics nowadays) antics. Turns out the upcoming season has a prime candidate for that kind of show: Rooster Fighter. Not having seen the episode, how do I know that’s the kind of show it is? Because I just read this review by Roderick J “Jay” Friz on the site D&A Anime Blog of the first episode. He gave me a good idea of what the show’s about even before I see it — and I very much want to see it! See if you have a similar reaction!

A Wild Last Boss Has Begun Her Story
Merlin, on the site Merlin’s Musings, has an almost supernatural ability to find series I’ve never heard of. No, it’s more powerful than that. He finds series I not only haven’t heard of, but would actually like to watch. Shows that I probably should have caught when they came out but didn’t for some reason or another. The show this time is A Wild Last Boss Appeared!, and thinking back, I just might remember when it came out. I wonder if the title discouraged me? It doesn’t sound like something I’d like. Guess that means I need to be a little less judgmental! Which is probably good advice, anyway! While I sort through this existential mini-crisis, why don’t you head over and read the post?
