Every week, I visit over 200 anime sites looking for posts that celebrate amazing moments in anime or otherwise blow me away with their wit and charm. These are my five favorite posts for the week. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Mushoku Tensei Season 3 โ 05
If most series gave me one or two episodes of domestic bliss in a row, I’d be bored out of my mind. No lie. I’d be ready for an injection of action or drama or something. But Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 isn’t most series. There is something — actually, somethings — special about it. Even more unexpectedly, there’s something special about these domestic bliss episodes. This week, FlareKnight, on the site Anime Evo, put his usual keen insights on display when he laid out what those things might be in this episode. And I have to say — he nailed it. As usual. Go see what you think!

Stories without Stories: Kinoโs Journey
I just finished the first draft of a new nove series I’m writing, and I’m getting ready to begin writing the next entry in the series. So, I’m thinking a lot about plot. Or lack of plot. Because some stories don’t have a plot. That sounds insane, doesn’t it? It did to me when I first learned that such a narrative existed. And truth be told, it still seems crazy to me. This week, The Overage Otaku, on the site Confessions of an Overage Otaku, talked about this plot device. Or lack of plot device. Or a device that lacks plot. Or — you know what? The Overage Otaku makes it all make sense, so why don’t you head on over and see for yourself?

MISS NADDY IS BEST GIRL! NO ARGUMENTS ALLOWED!
There was no way I would not watch The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You Season 3 this season. I can’t resist its humor, and the females harem characters have more depth and are more entertaining than almost any other harem rom-rom. That’s despite the show having about 30 times the average number of leads! This week, Roderick J “Jay” Friz, on the site D&A Anime Blog, makes the case that Nadeshiko “Naddy” Yamato is the best girl. Now, there’s no way I would argue the point. I would never, for example, extoll the virtues of Nano Eiai. No sir. I would not do such a thing. But before I don’t, you’d better go read the case Roderick J “Jay” Friz makes for Naddy. That’d be the right thing to do!

The Summer of Love VIII with The Garden of Sinners: The Garden of Sinnersโ Shiki Ryougi: Filling the God Hole
I love long-running, whether they be movies, seasonal shows, or even books. The more the better, because each individual episode/movie/book deepens the world and gives me new reasons to appreciate the world. Sometimes, though, I have a heck of a time deciding where to even start. The Nasuverse is probably the worst offender. I’ve watched various Fate series and movies, and I’ve confused myself with my choices. Fortunately, I found a guide: Dewbond on the site Shallow Dives in Anime. His Summer of Love VIII has covered the movie series The Garden of Sinners (is that a great title or what?), and this installment focuses on the character Shiki Ryougi. That gives me a point of reference as I begin to watch those movies! Go see what you think!

Saga of Tanya the Evil II episode 4
I consciously chose not to review Saga of Tanya the Evil II this season. It’s not because I don’t like it. It’s because I like it too much. It’s point of view is too close to mine. It’s abhorrence of malevolence, real or imagined, on the part of divinity is too much a reflection of mine. So, I’m reviewing vicariously the bloggers like Theron on the site USA Anime. That’s okay with me, because Theron leaves no thematic stones unturned in his reviews (he did the same outstanding job with Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? V — I still think about those reviews randomly from time to time). So, it’s like I can get my anti-evil fix without having to work as hard for it! Did you see this episode? Did Theron talk about the things you enjoyed? Go find out for yourself!

TCrow, here’s my extensive analysis on all the Christian symbolism and metaphors in Sayonara Lara:
https://thoroughwatch.org/?p=423
I think I did a pretty good job on it even though I’m non-religious and did the most in-depth analysis on Sayonara Lara anyone has done to date.
As always, some good picks!
