I’m still plotting my new trilogy, so I’m thinking a lot about the role of fiction in our lives. My favorite fiction evokes a response. It could be something trivial like a moment of laughter, or it could be something more substantial. Substantial how? To answer that, let me present this post by Alex Henderson on the site The Afictionado. It’s clear that Agents of the Four Seasons: Dance of Spring had an impact on Alex Henderson, and their description of why reminded me of the kind of fiction that sticks with me long after experiencing it. Mushoku Tensei Season 3 – 08
I’m accustomed to FlareKnight’s reviews on Anime Evo containing not only keen insights about the episode. I’m also used to those reviews including FlareKnight’s reaction to them. So, as I began reading this review of the eighth episode of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation Season 3, I found myself wondering how he would react to that scene. If you watched the episode until the end, then you know what scene I’m talking about! And guess what? FlareKnight did not in any way, shape, or form disappoint. I re-experienced that moment as I read his review. If you like this series at all, you’ll get a kick out of FlareKnight’s perspective here!

Saga of Tanya the Evil Season 2: Episodes 1 to 3 Reviews
I just published a new book that has a conceptual connection to this week’s review by 7mononoke on the site Anime Rants. The book is Wayland’s Hammer Book 1: Duty of Prisoners (affiliate link), and it examines a question that has been bugging me (much more recently, for obvious reasons). That question is, basically, how can otherwise civilized humans turn into fascists — or worse. That means I have characters of that persuasion in the book (spoiler: they are not the heroes). In her review of the first three episodes of Saga of Tanya the Evil II, 7mononoke expresses her concern about Tanya’s politics, and correctly so. 7mononoke also reaches the best conclusion, given what the show’s trying to accomplish. I’ll bet you agree with 7mononoke, too!

I Want To Love You Till Your Dying Day Episode 7 Review – Mimi, I Don’t Feel So Good
The series I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day has hovered at the edge of my awareness since the season started. I don’t know a lot of details, and I even avoided reading reviews because I wasn’t sure I needed that kind of intensity in my life right now! Then I made a fateful choice: I read this review by ecargmura on the site Arum Journal. Well, now I want to watch the series even though it seems all my fears were well-founded. It’s all ecargmura’s fault for so clearly describing the impact the episode had on her! What did ecargmura describe so well? There’s one way to find out!

And one minor thing I added to my write-up is a third reason for why the mabeasts stormed the Pleiades Watchtower is since Subaru talked about returning and that this is the fifth version of him since Rui had eaten the original Subaru before he returned to the Corridor of Memories, Subaru’s amount of miasma is way high compared to normal, much like when he goaded the White Whale into pursuing him harder in Ep. 21 by talking about how he had suffered in the past, implying he can Return by Death, which is directly part of the Taboo as intentionally hinting about Return by Death is disallowed by Satella.
