To her credit, she managed to give the young woman some healing tea and potpourri before they had to part. However, Chise completely forgot to ask for her name. Later, Chise had to psych herself up to go into her first class. Will it be a repeat of previous classroom experiences? Or will the sorcerers and mages be more understanding? And just why is Alice’s hair so short now?

In The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 3, “Birds of a feather flock together. II,” Chise and Elias decided to have lunch with several of Chise’s classmates. They were an eclectic bunch – some of whom weren’t even human! One of them, Zoe lvey, had to excuse himself before they were done eating. Chise could not sense any malice, but even Elias was concerned. Do all of her new friends wish her well? Why does Philomela Sargant always seem so tired? And why can’t Elias take a nap outside under the sky?

Who or what called them here? Was Stella okay? Did Elias know she had been summoned? And how was she going to get to school the next day?

In The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 5, “First impressions are the most lasting.”, Chise’s tense relationship with her roommate, Lucy Webster, took a turn for the worse when Lucy lost her patience with Chise’s polite way of speaking. But that wasn’t all – Lucy also provoked an accidental confrontation with Zoe Ivy, with unexpected – and dangerous – side effects. Can Chise rein things in? What will Ruth think of the commotion? And just what does Zoe have against Chise?

In The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 6, “Better bend than break.”, Chise felt troubled. Troubled enough, in fact, to ask Elias about the nature of their relationship. But he did not have time to answer because the class bell rang. Now Elias felt troubled! So much so that he asked Mikhail Renfred about relationships. How would Renfred possibly answer such a question? How will Elias? And what about the person who overheard Elias and Renfred talking?

In The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 7, “Slow and Sure,” Alice Swayne was still trying to come to terms with Mikhail Renfred’s attempt to adjust their relationship. How far was she willing to go to get her way? Meanwhile, Philomela Sargant received a summons to return home for a night. Why? Why did Veronica Rickenbacker remark that Philomela will need comforting when she gets back? And what was up with that smoking crow?

In The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 8, “Slow and sure. II,” Chise tried to learn basic survival skills with her classmates, including Lucy. Elias had wanted to tag along until Chise quite reasonably pointed out that the whole point was to learn self-reliance. Having a powerful mage like Elias present would defeat the purpose. So, Elias agreed to only send enough of himself to observe – and be otherwise useless. Chise began to regret that decision, though, when she realized Lucy had left their tent during the night – and now Chise felt a terrible presence nearby. Where did Lucy go? What happened to her? And what did Chise sense?

In The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 9, “Conscience does make cowards of us all.,” Chise was worried. The incident in the woods had been ten days ago, and Lucy remained consciousness. The doctor, Alexandra Heath, did not appear overly concerned. But Chise still worried. The man who visited hardly put Chise’s mind at ease. Who was this man? Why did Chise recognize him instantly? And just what disaster had befallen Lucy’s family?

In The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 10, “Conscience does make cowards of us all. II,” Lucy wanted to get rid Seth as fast as possible, so she walked him out. Chise tagged along. They came up to Seth’s limousine, but the driver had left. Seth was taken aback. The driver should have waited to matter what! Then the reason for his disappearance showed up in the form of two iron-clawed assassins. With speed that allowed them to hurt even Ruth, they forced Chise to make a desperate decision. Or was Chise really doing the deciding?

In The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 11, “The small leak will sink a great ship. I,” Philomela noticed, with no small amount of regret, that the potpourri Chise gave her had begun to lose its aroma. She worked up the courage to ask if she could have a refill, and of course Chise agreed cheerfully. But Chise took another step – she offered to teach Philomela how to make her own. If Chise felt surprised at Philomela’s tearful gratitude, she didn’t show it. But that gratitude was about to be put to the test, and in a very, very dangerous way. Will Philomela be able to do the right thing?

In The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2 Episode 12, “A small leak will sink a great ship. II,” there’s panic among the staff: the instructor who was to lead the gathering mission in the garbage tower was with Lucy in the infirmary. Someone else was leading the students! How much danger is Chise in? Will her friends be okay? And can Alice ever figure out how to get her feelings across to Renfred?
