If you’re looking for a hard science fiction book that tries to take a realistic look at how things are and why that might be, I think you’ll enjoy this one. Or, if you just want to root for an underdog from Wooster, Ohio as he tries to take on a brewing multi-system civil war in pursuit of his conscience.

Ooo, sounds interesting. I’m not really into hard sci-fi, but I have five brothers who are! I’ll have to recommend this book to them. And you said that more are coming out in August?

Six! Five Brothers and one sister. I’m the baby sister of the lot, for a total of seven. My parents were very veeeerrrry lovey dovey.
Wow, we do have something similar. We both come from large families, 4 bros; 2 eldest, 2 younger than me and 4 sisters all older than me, all younger than my 2 eldest bros. A total of 9. Hope they spoilt you!

The third, Lines of Operation, comes out August 25th.
This trilogy is a direct sequel to The Sword of Sirius. That reminds me — I need to update my author site with a note of how the series relate.
