Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc Episode 9: And The There Was One

Quick Summary of Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc Episode 9

In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc Episode 9, “Defeating an Upper Rank Demon,” Hinatsuru watched, hoping against hope, that her Kunai launcher would give Tengen and Tanjirou time to slice off Gyuutarou’s head. Can Tengen succeed where so many other Hashira have failed? But it all might be for nothing if Inosuke and Zenitsu cannot get through Daki’s defenses, because the Demon Slayers have to slice off both of the demons’ heads to score a kill. How much longer can Zenitsu remain asleep, and therefore combat effective? And what’s going to happen to Hinatsuru in the middle of this maelstrom?

Hinatsuru desperately hoped that her attack would give Tengen and Tanjirou the opening they needed. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.

I thought the battle in last week’s episode was intense. Well, it was, but it was pretty tepid compared to what happened this week. Tengen unleashed his full flashiness, Tanjirou learned to combine multiple techniques, Inosuke demonstrated strategic thinking, and Zenitsu assumed command.

And it still was not enough.

What is it going to take to kill Daki and Gyuutarou? Or are they such a perfectly lethal combination that it’s simply not possible to bring them down?
