Episode 1: Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc Episode 1, “Sound Hashira Tengen Uzui,” Kyoujurou Rengoku may have fallen, but the after effects remain. Not only is Senjuro Rengoku, Rengoku’s younger brother, heart-broken. Even our heroes, Tanjirou, Inosuke, and Zenitsu, were devastated. With his wounds yet unhealed, and with his spirit so heavy, will Tanjirou be able to deliver Rengoku’s final messages to his younger brother and Shinjurou Rengoku, his father? And if he does, what kind of reception awaits him at the Rengoku household?
Episode 2: Infiltrating the Entertainment District
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc episode 2, “Infiltrating the Entertainment District,” Tengen Uzui told Tanjirou, Inosuke, and Zenitsu that he had sent his three wives into the entertainment district, but that they had stopped communicating. That meant their mission was to infiltrate the district, discretely, and search for clues. Tengen’s genius idea to quietly place the three Demon Slayers? Why, by turning into entertainment district workers, of course! Does that plan have any chance of working? Does it give Inosuke an unfair advantage? And did we know that Zenitsu could rock a shamisen?
Episode 3: What Are You?
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc Episode 3, “What Are You?“, Inosuke follows the trail to Makio’s room. Seeing the meal tray waiting untouched outside the door, Inosuke paused to consider. How should he proceed? Realizing he has no idea, Inosuke decides to follow his instincts. Meanwhile, Zenitsu realized that his plunge into performing with a musical instrument might have been a little extreme. So, he decided to use his listening skill in an attempt to locate one of Tengen’s wives. What he heard made immediately leap to into action. Finally, Tanjirou put forth all of his skill and attitude. And ended up with a perfectly clean floor and beautifully made flower arrangements. The madam was so pleased she literally did not know what to do with Tanjirou. Who’s behind Makio’s torture? What does she had to do with our heroes? And will Tanjirou remember his job isn’t really janitorial?
Episode 4: Tonight
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc episode 4, “Tonight”, Inosuke and Tanjirou arrived at the appointed rooftop for their meeting with the Hashira Tengen Uzui. While they waited, Inosuke tried explaining what kind of demon he had encountered, but his the description made no sense to Tanjirou. Suddenly, so quickly and quickly that neither of them could even sense it, Tengen arrived. Astonishingly, he apologized for involving them. Saying that the situation was now so dangerous that they should leave, he stated his intention to continue alone. And then he vanished. Will Inosuke and Tanjirou leave without their friend Zenitsu? Will Inosuke ever make himself understood? And what made Tengen change his mind?
Episode 5: Things Are Gonna Get Real Flashy!!
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc Episode 5, “Things Are Gonna Get Real Flashy!!,” Tanjirou realized that his Water Breathing techniques had reached their limit. If he wanted to defeat Daki/Warabihime, he knew he must switch to the Hinokami Kagura. But will Daki/Warabhihime give him any time? She’s wicked fast, after all. Meanwhile, Inosuke found the trail of an underground demon. He could only access that demon’s lair by navigating very, very small tunnels. It turns out that Lord Inosuke has the perfect technique! What is that technique? What will he find when he reaches the lair? And just what happened to Zenitsu?
Episode 6: Layered Memories
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc episode 6, “Layered Memories,” Tanjirou continued fighting what appeared to be a losing battle against the Upper Six demon Warabihime/Daki. The longer the battle went on, the less blood Tanjirou retained in his body. And that was before the deep wounds Tanjirou received when Warabihime/Daki destroyed the neighborhood all around him! Can Tengen Uzui disentangle himself from the underground battle in time to assist Tanjirou? Or will he prioritize the safety of two of his wives, Makio and Suma, over a fellow Demon Slayer?
Episode 7: Transformation
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc Episode 7, “Transformation,” Nezuko’s power-up gave her the means to put Daki in a world of hurt. So much so that Daki realized that she was, in fact, over-matched. The trouble was, Nezuko started to enjoy inflicting pain on her enemy. Then, when she pursued Daki into a building with humans, Nezuko realized that she was hungry. Very, very hungry. Can she stop herself from turning the nearby humans into a meal? Might Tanjirou reach her in time? Is he even conscious? And where is Tengen?
Episode 8: Gathering
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc episode 8, “Gathering,” Tanjirou managed to return the sleeping Nezuko to her box while Tengen fought the demonic duo of Daki and Gyuutarou. The flashy Hashira seems to be slowing down a bit, though. Does Tanjirou have enough energy to return to Tengen, much less be of any use? Where are Inosuke and Zenitsu? If they all get together, will that improve their chances? Or have Daki and Gyuutarou only showed a part of their abilities?
Episode 9: Defeating an Upper Rank Demon
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc Episode 9, “Defeating an Upper Rank Demon,” Hinatsuru watched, hoping against hope, that her Kunai launcher would give Tengen and Tanjirou time to slice off Gyuutarou’s head. Can Tengen succeed where so many other Hashira have failed? But it all might be for nothing if Inosuke and Zenitsu cannot get through Daki’s defenses, because the Demon Slayers have to slice off both of the demons’ heads to score a kill. How much longer can Zenitsu remain asleep, and therefore combat effective? And what’s going to happen to Hinatsuru in the middle of this maelstrom?
Episode 10: Never Give Up
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc episode 10, “Never Give Up”, Tanjirou finds himself alone amid the burning buildings, an unconscious Nezuko nearby. Tengen’s lying nearby, his heart not beating, one arm sliced off to his side. Inosuke is also done, a gaping hole in his chest from where Gyuutarou had impaled him. Zenitsu, the only one who might still be alive, struggled feebly to escape the heap of burning building that had collapsed on top of him. And then Gyuutarou approached Tanjirou and began to gleefully taunt him. Can Tanjirou take advantage of Gyuutarou leaving him alive? Or does it matter, given that Tanjirou can’t even feel one of his arms – and the rest of his body isn’t working very well, either?
Episode 11: No Matter How Many
In Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc Episode 11, “No Matter How Many,” Tanjirou and Tengen, working together, had managed to behead Gyuutarou, while Zenitsu and Inosuke managed the same feat with Daki. But the danger had not passed. Tengen noticed that the Demon Art in Gyuutarou’s body went super-critical and was about to explode. Desperately, he tried to warn Tanjirou, but Tanjirou was too exhausted to move. It would not have mattered. Gyuutarou’s body exploded, taking most of the Entertainment District with it. Is there any way our heroes survived the explosion? Did beheading both demons at the same time really and finally kill them? Or did they have another hidden trick prepared?
