Demon Slayer – Swordsmith Village Arc Episode 6 Review

Demon Slayer – Swordsmith Village Arc Episode 6 Quick Summary

In Demon Slayer: Swordsmith Village Arc episode 6, “Aren’t You Going to Become a Hashira?“, Genya insisted that he be the one who killed Hantengu in all of his forms. Why? Because Genya had a mission — and he would not let anyone stand in his way! But there was something Genya did not take into account: the Tanjirou Effect with its Nezuko Booster. How will that change Genya’s perspective? Where is Mitsuri? And just how long can Muichirou hold his breath for?

Demon Slayer – Swordsmith Village Arc Episode 6: Genya barely survived the Tanjirou Effect -- how will he react to the Nezuko Booster?

The Tanjirou Effect by itself shattered Genya’s preconceptions. Can he survive the Nezuko Booster? Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.

Muichirou is still holding his breath after being captured within Gyokko’s trap. The Hashira found his sword can’t penetrate the barrier. He’s moments away from drowning. Mitsuri is nowhere to be seen. The last time Tanjirou faced on of the top demons, he had a Hashira, Tengen, with him. Now, it’s just him, Genya, and Nezuko — against what is essential four top level demons. What chance do they have?

  1. I’m looking forward to digging into this one. I watched the rest of the series in dub though, so feel like I need to wait for that to air for this arc.

    1. It’s amazing how attached we get to the voice actors! I remember seeing Infinite Stratos the first couple dozen times in dub form. To this day, it’s hard for me to get into the sub, and that’s what I usually prefer!

      1. Right? Unless there is no other option, and it’s unlikely to change, I tend to stick with what I first watched audio wise. It just feels off otherwise.
