Quick Summary of Dr. Stone Season 2 Episode 1
In Dr. Stone Season 2 Episode 1, “STONE WARS BEGINNING,” Gen tells the children of Ishigami village the heroic tale of their brilliant hero Senkuu. Which would have been much more dramatic a) if more than just a few days had passed since the last episode of season 1 and b) if Senkuu hadn’t had to tell him to stop goofing off and get back to work. And just like that, we’re back to making the next scientific marvel that the village will need to defeat Tsukasa and his minions. And just what is the next scientific marvel? Space food! That surprised even Chrome. How will space food help them defeat their enemy? Will Tsukasa give them enough time to finish it? And how will they hide it from Homura, Tsukasa’s scout who’s watching them?

I’ve gone through the transition from one season to the next for a lot of shows. I’m here to tell you that I think this episode represents the most smooth transition I’ve seen for a good long while. It honestly felt like no time had passed! The show also wasted no time embarking on Senkuu’s latest building block to victory, which was the manufacture of space food. The village really didn’t understand at first, but Kaseki got all fired up when he learned he’d have to make a large glass vacuum chamber!
And then Gen came up with an idea that could change everything, based solely on Lillian’s voice from the past…
