Fire Force Season 2 Ep 13 Review – Best In Show

In Fire Force Season 2 Ep 13, “A Pair of One-Eyes,” Captain Burns of the First Special Fire Force Company confronted Joker in the depths of the Holy Sol Temple. Both were ready to throw down when Benimaru said he wanted in. What will Burns do when faced with such a powerful double threat? Later, the Eighth Company became aware of new evidence that the Haijima company might know more about the Evangelist’s relationship to Amaterasu. Shinra thought of a perfect person to investigate: Victor Licht, who used to work there. Coincidentally, the company’s president wanted to talk to Victor about what he said in his report on the incident on the Chinese peninsula. In the meeting, the president ordered him to deliver Shinra to them. Will Victor do as they asked? And did he know of the danger lurking behind their polite words?

Episode 14: The Ashen Reaper

Fire Force Season 2 Ep 14 Review – Best In Show

In Fire Force Season 2 Ep 14, “The Ashen Reaper,” Victor Licht confessed to the gathered members of the 8th Special Fire Force Company that he was a Haijima spy. The reaction was slightly different than what he had expected. Akitaru Oubi agreed that sending Shinra into Haijima, even knowing it was a trap, was probably the best way forward, so Victor and Shinra made the trip. As they walked through the compound, the sheer number of guards made it clear: they were not getting out again easily. But when they arrived at the testing facility, they found that the real problem was even worse.

Episode 18: The Holy Woman’s Anguish / The Man, Assault

Fire Force Season 2 Ep 18 Review – Best In Show

In Fire Force Season 2 Ep 18, “The Holy Woman’s Anguish / The Man, Assault,” gave us two episodes in one. In the first, we’ve known that Iris has had doubt about the Holy Sol Temple since season 2 episode 11, when Shinra and friends returned from China with word that the Evangelist had been instrumental in founding her church. What has that knowledge done to her faith? In the second half, Assault, having just recovered from his defeat way back in Season 1 Episode 19, had thrown himself into training. The defeat had utterly humiliated him. Now, he was ready for revenge against his most powerful adversary, Tamaki Kotatsu. Wait. Tamaki? He sees Tamaki as his most powerful enemy? Yes, and he’s ready to take her on again, after a grueling training regime. Does he have a chance against her awesome might?

In Fire Force Season 2 Ep 19, “The Oze Family,” Maki Oze visited home to have dinner with family — her father, General Danrou Oze, her mother Madoka Oze, and her brother, Lieutenant Takigi Oze. The dinner was cordial, with Madoka strongly enforcing general rules of etiquette. However, there was an undercurrent of disapproval. Danrou didn’t want Maki in Fire Force, because of their conflict with the dangerous White Clads. Things took a turn for the worse later when Takigi encountered a White Clad during an investigation. The devastating violence that meeting triggered forced Danrou’s hand. Will Maki actually have to leave Special Fire Force Company 8? Can they get along without her strength? Almost as importantly: Will the Oze family survive another breach of etiquette with Madoka on the case?

Episode 20: Weapon of Destruction

Fire Force Season 2 Ep 20 Review – Best In Show

In Fire Force Season 2 Ep 20, “Weapon of Destruction,” members of the 8th Special Fire Force Company like ShinraArthurTakehisa Hinawa, and Akitaru Oubi split up and temporarily joined squads from the 2nd Special Fire Force Company under the command of Gustav Honda. The goal of their operation was to hit several White Clad laboratories at the same time. The hope was that if they struck all at once, the White Clad’s resources would be stretched too thin, and the labs would not have advance notice of the attacks. The plan started to go awry as soon as they entered. They immediately encountered dozens and dozens of Infernals. The platoons weren’t aware of two key things. First, Ritsu was there, and her power to reanimate dead bodies immediately began to work against our heroes. Second, she wasn’t the only enemy to arrive on scene. Who was this new enemy? How many death flags can members of the 2nd Special Fire Force raise? And was leaving Arthur alone with the 2nd a good idea?
