Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 Episode 10 – Quick Summary
In Jobless Reincarnation Season 3 episode 10, “An Audience with an Immortal Demon King,” Rudy, Elinalise, Cliff, and Zanoba were “lucky” enough to encounter Kishirika Kishirisu almost immediately. She even know how to cure Shizuka Nanahoshi! But of course, there was a catch. A rather large and dangerous catch. How will Rudy respond when the knights of a rival demon king show up and demand he turn over Kishirika? Does he really have a viable choice? And just what did Kishirika do to earn such wrath?
Note: This post may include spoilers, so be cautious.

Rudy had his priorities in order. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
I’m not one-hundred percent sure why everyone looks down on Kishirika. Sure, she doesn’t present respectably, but surely Rudy has to remember that she gouged out his eye and replaced it.
That deserves at least a little respect!
But even from the first, it seemed that Rudy was on the verge of walking away from her. Her sense of humor doesn’t help, certainly. She likes to play with people’s emotions, and being on the receiving end certainly isn’t a lot of fun.
Plus, she was messing with their hopes to save Shizuka. So I completely get Cliff wanting to smack her. But I love how Rudy stopped him. For the briefest of moments, I thought he might recall her gift to him and all the good he’s wrung from it. But no.
“Don’t be hasty, Cliff!” Rudy said, restraining his friend (02:20). “Make her tell us everything first!”
Well, at least Rudy was practical!
I’m not sure, but she might have reached hypersonic speeds. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.

Setup: Next Week Should Be Fun…
Crap. Did you see the title for next week’s episode? Well, forewarned is forearmed, I guess. Still, the previous episodes with similar titles left emotional scars, as far a fiction is able to do so. That’s saying something!
The battle between Rudy’s part of the knights of Atoferatofe Rybak impressed me. Moore in particular – deceitful bastard that he is – knew his stuff. Rudy was more powerful, but Moore had more guile and combat experience. Seeing him come so close to beating Rudy “Quagmire” Greyrat was a real treat.
There were so many cool little moments in this episode. Remember how Elinalise hesitated precisely zero seconds to put herself between Kishirika and Cliff and Moore’s knights (02:53)?
She didn’t hesitate at all. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
How about Zanoba and Rudy knocking Atofe out of her castle (10:21)?
Or Zanoba practically crushing the life out of Atofe (to the extent anyone could do such a thing) (15:55)? Or her blushing in response?
Or Rudy, realizing he might be in over his head, standing his ground yet thinking (13:50), “Sorry, Sylphie. I might not make it home.”
Delivery: Zanoba’s Unconventional Tactic
All in all, one of the better episodes. Rudy and his team worked incredibly well together. Even Cliff, who isn’t exactly overpowered, didn’t collapse into a catatonic state. Impressive all around.
But my favorite moment mixed humor with a purely Zanoba solution to a problem. He asked Rudy to trust him, because even Rudy’s demon eye couldn’t find a solution to attacking Atofe. So he fired anyway to give Zanoba an opening. And what did Zanoba do with the opening?
Did he rush his foe? Produce a hidden weapon, perhaps something puppet-based?
No. Zanoba hurled Kishirika at their foe (15:17).
“It stinks!” Atofe complained, hurling her fellow demon king aside (15:21). “How dare you throw that filthy thing at me?”
I did not see that attack coming. Neither did Atofe. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
Still, the tactic proved effective in giving Zanoba an opening to attack.
This show continues to find ways to surprise me. I absolutely did not see Zanoba hurling a demon king at another demon king. That’s good stuff!
