My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! Episode Guide

Episode 1: I Recalled the Memories of My Past Life…

Review: My Next Life As A Villainess: All Routes Lead To Doom! Episode 1: The Butt Of Doom And Door Vs Halberd

As we were discussing what series to collaborate on this season, Irina suggested “My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!” I thought this was a great idea, because a) I’d just seen the first episode, and I thought it was hilarious and b) it’s another chance to collaborate with Irina! So, no down side, right? Then she wondered, in her usual insightful sort of way, why we seem to review series where the hero dies in a car crash.

Episode 2: A Prince Challenged Me to a Fight…

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! ep 2 with Crow and Irina

Boy that title is a mouthful. I was going to find a spiffy little post title but you know what, there’s enough going on there already. So instead, let’s get right into it. Oh and I made an executive decision to go bold this week even though I’m hosting. Why??? I forgot that host was plain and now the boldness has gone to my head – Mwahaha!!!

And I have to say, as the OP of Villainess started this week, I realized that I have been looking forward to this all week. I was actually actively waiting for 1:30 (which is when the episode comes out here). It’s just a little sunshine of a show that really hits the spot right now. Any thought before we start Crow?

Episode 3: Met a Beautiful Brother and Sister…

Review: The All Routes Lead To Doom Episode 3: The Route Untaken And A Changed Goal

You know, being in plain text from here on out is really working out for me. Last week, Irina (from I Drink and Watch Anime) made the command decision to always be in bold type for our collaborations, and I’m cool with that. First, it takes a ton of pressure off — I mean, I hate being bold and out there! Second, it’s much easier to remember. And finally, it shows considerable outside of the box thinking. No “that’s the way we’ve always done it” tired old excuse for this collaboration! We innovate! And no, I’m not being in the least bit sarcastic!

This week, we review “Met a Beautiful Brother and Sister…”, episode 3 of My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! I’m finding it hard to punctuate a title that itself ends in punctuation. Also, it just occurred to me that I think the titles seem like titles Catarina Claes would use in her diary.

Episode 4: I Enrolled in the Magic Academy…

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! ep 4 – Ave Maria

Well, it seems this show is just going to stubbornly refuse to not be charming. Fine! On top of that it is an absolutely stunning sunny early spring day here which is saying something as it has been snowing, dark and miserable all week… I guess I’m just going to have to deal with a wonderful Saturday…. and I have to work all weekend ARRRRGGGHHH. Not gonna lie – I’m pretty bitter about it! I know I shouldn’t complain and I am grateful – I’m just a bit tired, is all.

How are you doing Crow? I hope the weather is just as great where you are and that you are getting a chance to enjoy it!

Episode 5: I Visited the Heroine’s Parents’ House…

Review: My Next Life As A Villainess: All Routes Lead To Doom: Another Flag Falls, Another Soul Heals

In the fifth episode of My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, “I Visited the Heroine’s Parents’ House…,” Catarina Claes continues her relentless battle against the engine of fate controlling Fortune Lover. She’s focused, she’s determined, and she will spare no expense to avoid the bad endings. And in this episode, she claims two more casualties in her own personal war.

I’m laying it on bit thick, aren’t I, Irina? By the way, how’s your week? I hope you’re staying safe and healthy!

Episode 6: I Had Fun Over Summer Vacation…

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! ep 6 – The Devilish Count Makes His Move

It was snowing yesterday but today is sunny and warm. Seems the universe is confused in my little corner. We’re also slowly considering unquarantining in these parts which I am a little unsure about. I understand the economic pressures but we aren’t exactly in clear waters yet. If you are someone who has to go back to work physically, you have my sympathy, and thanks for keeping things going. I’m going to stick around my home a bit longer. I get sick really easily and there’s no point in clogging up our healthcare system if I don’t have to.

How about you Crow? How’s the weather and the news where you are?

Episode 7: I Entered a Dangerous Dungeon…

Review: My Next Life As A Villainess: All Routes Lead To Doom: The Exam In The Dungeon

In the seventh episode of My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, “I Entered a Dangerous Dungeon…,” Catarina Claes and friends have to take the their final exam. Unfortunately for all concerned, especially Catarina, the exam is in a dungeon left behind by a deceased mage. They have to find the magical stone, and the dungeon is filled with traps. You can probably guess how well Catarina and traps mix.

But before we get to that, how are you doing, Irina? Are you getting as dangerously used to working from home as I am?

Episode 8: I Became Engulfed by Desire…

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! ep 8 – Simple Pleasures

It might actually finally truly be summer here. I get paid by the adverb! But it really is a rather nice weekend. Sunny and bright but not too hot. The type of weekend that makes you want to just be lazy and not do a ton of paperwork. I have a lot of paperwork to do… I have been putting it off. But I absolutely must get this review out first. Right? Right! How are you doing Crow? Everything good for you?

I am doing mostly fine. It’s getting very summerly here (we’re splitting the adverb bounty, right?). Did you know it takes a week and a half to get the replacement valve that feeds refrigerant into my air conditioner? I just learned that myself. It arrives Thursday. The joys of homeownership…

Episode 9: Things Got Crazy at a Slumber Party…

Review: My Next Life As A Villainess: All Routes Lead To Doom: The Maid And The Shears

n the ninth episode of My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!, “Things Got Crazy at a Slumber Party…,” Catarina Claes make a stunning announcement to her maid, Anne Shelley: Catarina had passed her exam! She was heading for her second year at school — and she still hadn’t triggered any of the doom flags. Anne’s reaction was a revelation! Later, Gerald Stuart received an invitation from Catarina to meet her at a location he knew to be secluded. His imagination went wild until he remembered: this is Catarina. Would she really do anything romantic? The answer might… oh, who am I kidding? You probably know exactly what happened, but the details are still funny!

Before we get started, how are things in Canada, Irina? I hope they’re more peaceful than things here. Not only do we have to deal with a pandemic and the George Floyd’s tragic death, we now have news that out-of-state actors infiltrating the protests of Mr. Floyd’s death. Minnesota has deployed national guard units. And just a few miles from me, for the first time in my life, Columbus is under curfew. With the SpaceX launch today, this feels uncomfortably like 1968…

Episode 10: The Moment of My Doom Arrived… Part 1

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! ep 10 – Sharks

It’s been quite a week! Things are fine for me but that seems selfish considering everything that is going on right now. These are some tough times and I hope you’re all doing o.k.  If you can find some sympathy and understanding in yourself for those around you, we need it now more than ever. I understand it’s trying. I hope that didn’t come off too preachy. Crow I hope that you are doing well today.

Trying to find words to say what you’re saying. I’m glad some other ani-bloggers have posted guides of how to contribute, help, or be generally supportive. I was really proud of my daughter the other day — she’s a teacher, and she posted a guide from some educators.

Well, it won’t help by not doing our thing here, so here we go!

Episode 11: The Moment of My Doom Arrived… Part 2

Review: My Next Life As A Villainess: All Routes Lead To Doom: Ep 11, There And Back Again

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! Episode 11, “The Moment of My Doom Arrived… Part 2,” had a huge responsibility. Could it restore the good will the first 9 episodes had built? After all, our review of episode 10 was probably the most downbeat review we’ve done — and not only for this series! Did we get a return to the character moments that made the show so endearing? Or was this episode as rushed as the reveal of Sirius Deek as a villain?

Most importantly: Did Mary find out what Sirius had done? And if she did, is he still alive?

Before we get this review underway, how are things with you, Irina? Staying healthy and safe?

Episode 12: The Final Event Has Begun…

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! ep 12 – Finale

Remember when I was all excited about the fact that it was starting to get warm here? Well that’s all over now! It is hot and I mean humid and sticky and just plain old tough to breathe summertime in Montreal hooooot. I do have air conditioning. I’m not sure why I whine all the time. It’s just a thing we Canadians do. We complain about the weather. It’s our claim to fame. How are things in your neck in the woods, Crow?

Also hot. Also sticky. Glad I recently got the air conditioning repaired. It’d be a real bummer without it. Wait. Why am I bold? I shouldn’t be bold! I stick out too much!

Oh, there will be spoilers.

My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom! - Geraldo and Alan get serious.

    1. The animation was just beautiful! So were the character designs. Catarina had some absolutely adorable expressions! The voice acting was great, too.
