I’m beginning to think that Irina (of I Drink and Watch Anime fame!) and I could start each one of our The Promised Neverland reviews with the sentence, “At the end of the last episode, we lived through a bombshell.” This show is worse than Attack on Titan for its cliff-hanger endings!
At the end of episode 6, Sister Krone offered to join forces with Emma, Norman, and the rest of our heroes. We find out what that means in this episode! Is it good? Is it bad?
Is Sister Krone’s offer a good one for our the kids? You can probably guess… Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
So many questions in this episode! What did Emma tell Don and Gilda in private? Why does Ray have a Polaroid camera? Sister Krone revealed some previously unknown facts about humans outside of the farms — what does that mean for the kids’ escape? Just how much does Isabella know?
Just how much does Isabella know? Probably more than we’d like her to! Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
And worst of all — how are those of us who haven’t read the manga going to survive the wait for the next episode?
Head on over to Irina’s site to read our latest collaboration review of episode 7. I hope you’ll enjoy reading it as much as we enjoyed writing it!

Did you feel the same way about Attack on Titan? At last in the first season, it seemed to end on a lot of cliff-hangers.
I watched the first season in one go, back to back, so didn’t really notice. I think it’s one of the reasons I tend to prefer to watch seasons that have finished.
Yeah, they do love their cliffhangers. I think it’s fine for the beginning of a season when they’re trying to get you hooked, but at episode 7 there’s going to be very little drop off from viewers that it’s unnecessary and annoying. Still a great show though.
