SPY x FAMILY Season 3 Episode 43 – Quick Summary
In SPY x FAMILY Season 3 episode 43, “White Jealousy | The Eden College Busjacking Incident,” Loid encounters a problem accidentally of his own making: he accidentally incurred the wrath of his director, Gerald Gorey. Can he and Fiona contain the issue before Gerald does something foolish? Later, Anya goes on a bus trip to the museum. Except the bus drives right past the museum. Is the driver lost? Or is something more nefarious going on?

Anya sees herself in competition with Yor to help Loid’s plan. Anya’s goal is to become friends with Second Son Damian so the Forger family will get an invite. Unfortunately, given the developments in the previous episode, Anya felt like she was falling behind.
She read Loid’s mind and learned of what he’d done to get Gerald on his side. So, Anya planned to do the same thing with Damian. She planned it meticulously in her mind. She envisioned herself making an “uggo” face at him; she saw him telling the teacher Anya should be expelled for being “an uggo.” Then she saw herself smiling brightly at the teacher, who would, of course, conclude she was not in the least bit “uggo.” He would then expel Damian for being “uggo” on the inside.
This is where Anya would step up and win Damian’s gratitude. In her mind’s eye, she stood up placed herself between the teacher and Damian, and spoke in a confident voice.
“Teacher!” she said (18:10). “Second son isn’t an uggo. He’s just a shithead.”
Apparently, being a shithead is less serious than being an “uggo.” It’s just sad the plan failed on the first step. Not that it had a chance of success. I just think the attempt would have been funny to watch!

Setup: Yor Is Not Going to be Happy
I wonder if it’s bad that my favorite moment is what I imagine Yor will do when she finds out that the same terrorists who put a bullet in her butt have kidnapped her daughter? It might play out differently, of course. But that’s the first thing I thought when I realized that Red Circus planned to abduct the children.
But Yor wasn’t in this episode, and honestly, I have no way of knowing she’ll even know about the abduction before it’s resolved, one way or another. So, what was my favorite moment of the episode?
Gerald Gorey not only felt jealous of Loid (despite Loid going well out of his way to put the director at ease). He also had a crush on Fiona. Talk about deluded! But that was the engine that drove the conflict in the first half of this episode.
Gerald tried many things to make Loid look bad in front of his peers and customers. Every attempt not only failed. Because Loid was so well regarded, Gerald’s attacks simply endeared Loid more to everyone. That’s when Gerald decided he’d go nuclear. He called the secret police to report Loid as a spy.

The dude even fabricated evidence.
I was concerned when two sinister-looking individuals showed up. I was more concerned when those two individuals found the evidence that Gerald had planted. My concern peaked when one of the secret police put Loid in handcuffs.
My loathing for Gerald peaked when he did a little happy dance (11:39).
I need not have worried. Fiona had warned loid well in advance, so Franky Franklin had intercepted the call. He and Fiona dressed up as secret police, and they were the two who showed up to “arrest” Loid. In fact, the whole thing was Loid’s idea.
Delivery: Loid is an Artist
The “arrest” unraveled quickly. They discovered that the report Gerald planted had been typed on Gerald’s typewriter. They decided to arrest Gerald instead, which, of course, freaked the man out. Around this point, we made another discovery – the second sinister-looking agent was actually Fiona in makeup! Loid applied it, which becomes important in a moment.
Gerald was freaking out. This is where Loid’s plan came to fruition. He gave a passionate speech about how important the director was (14:04): “Please wait!… The director is far more popular than me and is a reliable leader who’s always looking out for everyone around him!… The director is a treasure to this hospital!”
I had to admire Loid’s dedication to the mission, especially given how clearly he knew what the man had done. Of course, Franky and Fiona released the man, who was forever grateful to Loid. So, problem solved!

My favorite moment was when Franky and Fiona, still in costume, walked out of the building. Fiona was very pleased with herself. “I did it,” she said to herself (15:28). “I was useful to Twilight.”
She had no intention of removing the makeup until she had to. Why? Because Loid had applied it!
Franky also did not want to remove his makeup. “This disguise has the most handsome face to date, so he never wants to change it,” the caption said (15:33). He planned to meet a date with that face.
I love this show’s main characters. Also, I admire the supporting cast, too. They add depth and texture to the show. At this point, I’d kind of like to see Franky and Fiona get together, though I can only partially imagine it. As long as Fiona thinks she has any chance with Loid, that is.

Watching Loid see through the hospital director’s obvious plots and pretend to fall for them was pretty funny, but I think my favorite part was Anya’s genius plan to get Damien to be grateful to her. It was so cute! I love how she just assumed that of course the teacher would think she’s adorable and punish Damien instead.
Anya’s fantasies are the best! They’re so perfect for someone her age.
