Episode 1: Tattoo
In Taboo Tattoo’s first episode, titled “Tattoo,” we meet Justice Akatsuka, who receives a strange tattoo as a “thank you” gift from a man he saved from a robber. Not long afterward, Bluesy Fluesy begins stalking him. Akatsuka’s day goes downhill rapidly from there.

Episode 4: Distance
In Taboo Tattoo’s fourth episode, Distance, Justice Akatsuka injects some much-needed realism by undergoing actual training; Bluesy Fluesy struggles against her helplessness to stop the abduction of her friend Lisa Lovelock; Akatsuka and Tōko Ichinose run roughshod over Tom Shredfield’s reasonable and helpful advice; and Bluesy confronts the kidnappers, R. R. Lurker and Iltutmish.
Episode 5: Rescue
In Rescue, the fifth episode of Taboo Tattoo, Princess Aryabahta arrives in Japan to check on Iltutmish (among other things); Bluesy Fluesy tries to rescue her friend Lisa Lovelock and causes quite a stir; Aryabahta pits Tōko Ichinose’s dreams against Iltutmish’s hopes; and ping pong. Yes, ping pong.
Episode 6: Reunion

In Storm, the seventh episode of Taboo Tattoo, Bluesy Fluesy has her perspective on her role forcibly adjusted; Princess Aryabahta tightens her grip on the fourth ancient site; Iltutmish gets an upgraded frame; Justice Akatsuka finds his back against the wall — and if it’s not in the worst possible way, it’s pretty close.
Episode 8: Creator

BB) faces off against Cal Shekhar in a battle of singularities against boundaries; Justice Akatsuka has to reach deep down beneath his despair in his fight against the Princess; Bluesy Fluesy again has her relative impotence ground into her psyche; Princess Aryabahta widens the power gap; Tōko Ichinose learns a permanent lesson about love and longing. I think this episode shows positive signs of plot — what do you think?
Episode 9: The Past
In Taboo Tattoo episode 9 (called The Past), Justice Akatsuka accepts Wiseman’s offer to dive into the memories of Brad Blackstone (a.k.a. BB). Once there, we get to see BB meet Cal Shekhar, Iltutmish, and even Princess Aryabahta for the first time; we get to see the lengths to which BB is willing to go to learn how to destroy tattoos; and most chilling of all, we get to learn the horrifying secret behind Aryabahta and her powers.
Episode 10: Letter of Challenge
Letter of Challenge, the tenth episode of Taboo Tattoo, shows how much Justice Akatsuka‘s capabilities can improve with intensive practice and guidance from the memories of Brad Blackstone (a.k.a. BB); shows the furor that Princess Aryabahta’s overly-sexualized and condescending challenge video has on Akatsuka, Bluesy Fluesy, and the team; and, finally, shows that the American military has a singular ability to not learn from its past mistakes. At all. Not even a little.
Episode 11: In the Palm of the Hand
In Taboo Tattoo’s eleventh episode, called “In the Palm of the Hand,” we learn that Cal Shekar is still alive, and even without her most dreadful power, she’s still formidable; Justice Akatsuka is much stronger but still struggles when it comes to situational awareness; Bluesy Fluesy demonstrates how well she can fight with an artificial arm (hint: very well!); and Princess Aryabahta shows that planning ahead has major benefits.

In Taboo Tattoo’s final episode, The Deciding Battle, Princess Aryabahta’s sisters get a terrible headache; Justice Akatsuka learns a valuable life lesson about revenge; Bluesy Fluesy has terrible luck with prosthetics; and Tom Shredfield steps forward as the show’s pivotal character.
Look. I’ll be up-front and honest with you. This is going to be a negative review. I admit I was foolish to hope the ending would somehow turn things around. So it you don’t care of negative reviews, no hard feelings if you want to skip this one.
