The Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 3 – A Scavenger Hunt

Quick Summary of The Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 3

In The Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 3, “Episode 3,” Emma, Ray, and the rest of the kids followed Mujika and Sonju to the edge of the forest. Now that the kids had reached the wastes where demons didn’t go, it was time to say goodbye. In the last six days, the kids had become very attached to the two demons, and their parting was difficult. Soon, though, the kids were off into the wasteland and out of earshot. Which was good, because they probably would not have wanted to hear what Sonju said… Does William Minerva really have a hideout in these wastes? Or were his messages just an elaborate trick or an expired invitation?

The Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 3: Sonju dropped a surprise this week!

And he’d seemed like such a nice demon! Capture from the Funimation stream.

Irina from I Drink and Watch Anime and I are collaborating to review The Promised Neverland Season 2. Given how our reviews of the first season came out, I think that is an entirely good thing!

Well, Sonju and Mujika’s conversation after the kids ventured into the wasteland certainly put a different spin on their relationship! Could you believe what Sonju said? Well, it’s The Promised Neverland. Of course you could believe it! But it was still a bit of a shock.

Looked like it might have been a bit of a shock to Mujika, too!

What does Sonju’s statements mean for the Emma, Ray, and the rest? Were the kids able to find anything in the wasteland? Please head over to Irina’s site to read our review and let us know what you thought in the comments!

  1. The thrill of the hunt- it’s strong with this one. Honestly, when I read this scene in the manga; I kind of thought that Sonju would becomea problem for them later on. NO SPOILERS, but……..they, uh……they don’t really pay this scene off.

    1. Thanks for no spoilers! At least from the anime’s perspective.

I really enjoy the hinted-at complexity of demon civilization. I hope we get to see more of it!

Not too much more, of course!
