The Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 6 – Risk

Quick Summary of The Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 6

In The Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 6, “Episode 6,” Emma and Ray were overjoyed to see Norman again. Beyond their wildest hope, fate had brought him back to them. What’s more, he brought three friends with him! The rest of the children, of course, were just as happy to see him. But while he was away from them, something had happened to Norman. He had put plans into motion that brought cheers from most of the kids — but hesitancy and doubt from Emma. Is Norman’s plan right? Can Emma trust her doubts? What will Ray say if she entrusts her thoughts to him? And what will Norman’s new friends do?

The Promised Neverland Season 2 Episode 6: Norman's back in the OP!

Hey! Norman’s in the OP now! Capture from the Funimation stream.

The Promised Neverland’s characters, even more than the generally powerful plot, rivet my attention. In many ways, this episode was a return to the character-driven drama that had dominated the first season. Norman did not have a happy experience after he bowed out of season 1, and those experiences left scars. Norman has applied his considerable intellect to solving the problem of what to do about those who had harmed him and his new friends.

His solution terrified Emma.

How will she react? How will Ray help her work through it? And if they approach Norman, how will and his new friend reaction?

  1. If this is to sink up with the manga in ANY way, then…….it won’t be easy to win Norman over. Though, considering the way the anime is going; he might just STAY evil. I kind of hope so; I think Emma having to fight against one of her precious family members would be an interesting change of pace for the series.

    1. That would be interesting to see.

I’m thinking that Ray would follow Emma. But it’d be hard on both of them – but that’s kinda the point of drama, isn’t it?

    1. It does make me feel relieved that I haven’t read the manga! Sounds like if I go from anime to manga, it’ll be a more pleasant experience.
