Tower of God Season Two Episode 10 – Quick Summary
In Tower of God Season 2 episode 10, “The Hand of Arlen,” Horyang Kang was determined to meet his old companion Beniamino Cassano alone. Viole let him go, but he had every intention of going after him. So, what’s he waiting for? Also, Aguero Agnes Khun closed in on Beniamino Cassano, too. Which team will get to him first? Who put traps all around the Hand of Arlen? And when will Viole decide to go after Horyang Kang?
Note: This post may include spoilers, so be cautious.
Favorite Quote from Tower of God Season Two Episode 10
It was a little thing, but it helped restore my faith in the writing. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
Last episode, when we saw the picture with Cassano in the background, I had to wonder – was the guy lazy or what this just one of those plot coincidences? It felt weird.
In this episode, as Aguero Agnes Khun, with Ran Khun and Novick, closed in on Arlen’s Hand. That’s where the photo suggested Cassano would be. Aguero Agnes Khun looked pensive.
“It’s hard to believe someone like that would let this photo be taken of him,” Aguero Agnes Khun said (05:17). “It’s too perfect for a coincidence.”
Thank you, Khun! On one hand, you just validated my observation. On the other, you actually helped redeem part of this week’s narrative! That’s some good work right there!
Favorite Moment from Tower of God Season Two Episode 10
A simple gesture of kindness can go a long way. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
One of the things I enjoyed in the first season was Bam’s simple humanity. By that, I mean he was just some guy with a good heart trying to do his thing. No grandiose plans to change the world; no aspirations to rule. He just wanted to be with and help his friends.
That aspect persisted into this season. Early on, we saw a Viole/Bam who had withdrawn into himself. Even then, he didn’t just strike down Wangnan Ja when he had the chance. Viole has come a long way this season. Though to be honest, I would liked to have seem more of it. As a demonstration of the conversation that momomanamu started in last week’s comments, we missed seeing Viole/Bam grow closer to his current team. Had we seen more of that, I think my favorite moment this week would have hit even harder.
Goseng Yeo had fallen asleep waiting for Horyang Kang to come home. Viole/Bam hadn’t told anyone that Horyang Kang had already left. Viole came into the room to find Miseng Yeo about to cover Goseng Yeo with a blanket. The little girl was scared.
And, sorry to mention this at such a tender moment, but why has she grown not at all in two years?
Miseng Yeo was very worried about her friend. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.
Anyway.
She worried about Horyang Kang. She was afraid the same people who had experimented on him would capture him again. “What if they do weird experiments on him again?” she asked (09:55).
I’ll say this for season 2: I might have qualms about the animation, but the voice acting is spot on. Saki Miyashita made Miseng Yeo sound scared for her friend.
Bam showed he’s still the same Bam – with just more experience and a little more caution – when he said (10:00), “You don’t have to worry… I’m sure Kang Horyang will return safe and sound.”
In a show with the thematic breadth of Tower of God, it’s nice to see something like this, a simple gesture of kindness and support, play such a prominent role.
What did you think of Ran and Novick encountering Horyang Kang? What were your favorite moments? Feel free to share in the comments!

This blogger is amazing! Love this anime, gives many perspectives of the characters in my opinion. Feel free to discuss more at my blog https://myblogfunandanimecom.wordpress.com/
There seems to be an asymmetry of power between the two “devils.”
I haven’t read the manhwa, so I don’t know if there’s a significance beyond them splitting the original ignition weapon or not.
