Tower of God Season Two Episode 24 – Quick Summary

In Tower of God Season 2 episode 24, “The Cost of Battle,” Khun and Rak are overjoyed to be reunited with Bam. But that joy is cut short when they learn that Reflejo took Hwaryun hostage – after beating her into unconsciousness. Reflejo offers to give her back, but only if Bam comes to get her. Khun and Rak instantly recognize the trap. So does Bam. But Bam is determined to rescue his friend. Can Khun dissuade him? Or is their reunion destined to be short-lived?

Tower of God Season Two Episode 24: Rak was not impressed

Thanks for the clarification, Rak! Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.

Rak uttered my favorite quote this week. For the same quote, he also won the “Well, duh!” award for the week. Which I would have awarded through my Caw Out Awards. I thought I’d just awarded one the other day. But it’s been almost three years.

Seems I’ve been a bit lazy about it.

Anyway, Rak’s quote. It was during their fight against Reflejo. Reflejo had just told them he’d been training to fight Bam forever and that he was really, really – and I mean really – excited about it. As in, dude needs to get a hobby.

I thought the voice actor got the point across. Rak, though, wanted to make the situation abundantly clear.

“He’s obsessed,” Rak announced (20:16).

I wonder if Rak has actually met Captain Obvious?

Tower of God Season Two Episode 24: Endorsi was not pleased about her makeup getting ruined

Ron Mei didn’t need much time to annoy Endorsi. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.

The highlight of this episode was pretty easy to pick. Yes, seeing Bam reunited with Khun and Rak was very cool. So was Khun’s grudging acceptance of Bam’s resolve to rescue Hwaryun. “You haven’t changed a bit,” Khun said (09:29). “Okay. The three of us will go rescue Hawryun.”

He actually seemed really happy about it!

But my favorite moment started with a high-speed ballistic impact in front of Ron Mei and  Varagarv. Out of the impact site stepped Endorsi, who immediately declared everyone in the immediate vicinity “useless” and chastised them because “my makeup came off because of you” (10:40).

If I were doing the Caw Out Awards, I might have given her Most Fun Entrance of the Week.

She got into a banter battle with Ron Mei, where the latter pretended to be all sweetness and light. That is, until she casually asked where Viole was.

Tower of God Season Two Episode 24: Endorsi took exception to Ron Mei being so familiar with Bam's name

She was not happy about the damage to her makeup. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.

“Could you not casually drop my boyfriend’s name?” Endorsi said (14:19). “It’s annoying.”

Not only did she make a great entrance. She boldly claimed that Bam was her boyfriend, even before their first date. Too bad Bam has no idea how lucky he is.

Seriously. I think the two of them might have some solid chemistry. And I strongly doubt she’d ever try to push him to his death, unlike one other I could mention.

What did you think of the fight against Reflejo? What were your favorite moments? Feel free to let me know in the comments!

  1. There was one detail that stayed with me in particular. From what I could tell, Khun doesn’t believe that that’s the real Hwaryun Reflejo has with him as a hostage. I don’t know how he could make that deduction though.

    1. I think I saw the same moment. I wondered about it, too. Maybe we’ll find out in the next episode! Or maybe it’ll be the cliff hanger for the end of the season.

  2. Reflejo is a very cool bad guy, his shadowy attacks look very villainous. I love that the original trio is back together again. They work so well. Yes, Endorsi’s entrance was epic! Too bad Bam doesn’t know how cool his new girlfriend looked . . . or that he has a new girlfriend.

Please let me know what you think!
