TRINITY SEVEN Episode 6 Review – Quick Summary

In TRINITY SEVEN Episode 6, “Dark Mage and Big Event,” Lieselotte Sherlock, having trapped Arata Kasuga, Lilith Asami, and the others, uses the powers she stole from her sister, Selina Sherlock, to try to lure Arata to her side. Given her feminine charms, Arata experienced a moment of serious doubt. But then Lieselotte used the possibility of helping him locate Hijiri Kasuga as enticement. Does Arata have any chance of resisting? Are all of them, even Mira Yamana, the powerful head of security, really helpless against Lieselotte’s magic? And if she steals Arata’s Demon Lord candidate-level power, then what?

Note: This post may include spoilers, so be cautious.

Favorite Quote from TRINITY SEVEN Episode 6

Arin realized that Mira and Akio Fudou were even now beating the daylights out of her husband. Just another day at Biblia Academy! Capture from the Crunchyroll stream

It seems I have a weakness for women who are strong and quiet. Take Arin Kannazuki, for example. She doesn’t say a lot, but you can tell there’s a lot going on in her mind. I’m not sure I understand what that is. I mean, she claimed Arata as her husband as soon as she learned he was the Demon Lord Candidate, for example. That seems mysterious and confounding.

Well, maybe that’s not so mysterious, if she considered that her destiny. But even then, I could not explain how, in the previous episode, when Yui Kurata said she would be fine with being Arata’s mistress, Arin readily agreed. Like, she showed no hesitation. Just what is she thinking?

In this episode, she gave us another glimpse of her ability to coolly evaluate and react to the situation it a way that seems beyond me. The ground shook and there was an enormous explosion outside. Even the windows rattled.

Looking out those windows, Arin said (14:40), “Looks like my husband is getting beaten up by the inspectors.”

I guess she’s calm because she has complete confidence in Arata? Wait, is “complete confidence” in Arata a thing?

Best in Show Moment for TRINITY SEVEN Episode 6

Arata had the decency to admit his mistake and accept responsibility. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.

All the way back in episode 1, Arata impressed me with his willingness to do something very simple and very human. He was able to sincerely apologize. Back then, he apologized to Lilith for his lack of courtesy. In this episode, he did it again!

During the confrontation with Lieselotte, Arata didn’t react quickly enough. I seriously think the dude was distracted by her cleavage. And let’s face it: She knew how to leverage that advantage! She got close enough to Arata to kiss him and, through that kiss, to steal his power. His Demon Lord Candidate-level power.

When Lieselotte realized she couldn’t win because she couldn’t absorb Arata’s power so quickly, she sent Arata and the rest of the Trinity Seven back to the Academy. There, Mira was furious. The situation with Lieselotte had been bad enough. Now, with Arata’s power, it was much, much worse.

I guess Arata didn’t hear Lilith’s warning over the sound of Lieselotte’s cleavage. Figuratively speaking, of course. Her cleavage was actually silent. Capture from the Crunchyroll stream.

“But next time,” she said, fuming, “Liese-san will have completely mastered this guy’s impure power.”

Did Arata become angry and try to defend himself? Nope. He did the stand up thing. He accepted responsibility. Not only that, but he even looked quite embarrassed about it.

Um…,” he began (12:12). “I mean… Sorry.”

Of course, his apology didn’t fix anything. But it didn’t make things worse, either. And I think it gave Mira the glimmer of a hope that maybe Arata wasn’t all bad. Possibly.
