Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs Episode 7 – Quick Summary
In Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs Episode 7, “Yuuna’s Mysterious Disapppearance” (misspelling is intentional), Yuuna tried to help Koyuzu Shigaraki run her first errand for the inn. Things went well until they met the mysterious Genshirou Ryuuga and his retainer Oboro Shintou. The first mystery? Both of the newcomers could see Yuuna! The second? Genshirou had plans for Yuuna – plans Yuuna did not appreciate! Can she use her poltergeist powers to escape? What about Koyuzu? And how can those two see Yuuna?

I did not like Genshirou from the instant I saw him. That makes sense, of course. The guy was designed to be detested. He immediately assumed two women were hitting on him – when they only wanted him to take their picture.
By contrast, I liked Oboro as soon as I saw her. At first, it was simple sympathy. She had to keep Genshirou in line, and that had to be a constant source of pain for her. On the other hand, she concurred that Yuuna was attractive and would make a fitting wife. So she has good taste.
Putting aside the whole kidnapping aspect,of course.
Oboro gave me my favorite quote this week. Genshirou had just scooped up some random woman on the street. In his delusional state (which is his native state), he said she clearly wanted to be his concubine.
Despite her kicking and screaming “No!”
So Oboro just chopped Genshirou on the head. As the poor woman escaped, Genshirou demanded to know why she kept doing that, since she was his retainer.
“It’s my duty as your chaperone,” she said, unwilling to back down at all (06:24). “Please stop trying to kidnap women indiscriminately.”
She’s obviously had a lot of practice delivering lines like that.
Favorite Moment from Yuuna and the Haunted Hot Springs Episode 7

Seeing Sagiri and Kogarashi just chatting on the way home from school was a wholesome moment. After their rocky start, their becoming friends gives the series a warm feeling. They just chatted about their jobs – the normal stuff two friends would talk about.
It was a perfect way to show them happening upon Koyuzu. The little girl sniffled and and ambled down the street. She seemed ecstatic to see them, with good reason. In tears, she explained what had happened to Yuuna. She ended by trying to apologize.
This is a short favorite moment section, because it’s a short moment. But it really doesn’t need any introduction. You know Kogarashi. You know how protective he is of Yuuna (or anyone in the household). After patting Koyuzu on the heat and reassuring her that no, this wasn’t her fault, he stood and looked back.

“So it’s Ryuuga Lake in Shinano…” he said as he started to walk back in the same direction he’d just come with with Sagiri (13:10).
When Sagiri asked him what he was going to do, without even giving her a glance, he trudged on and said (13:10), “Save her, of course.”
Even when Sagiri and Koyuzu explained he was about to go up against a god, he didn’t care. Someone had abducted Yuuna, and Kogarashi being Kogarashi, there was only one thing to do. And he was going to do it!
I like that kind of clarity in a character.
